Gratitude is one of the most important attitudes we can posses. Many years ago, Matthew Henry, a well-known Bible scholar, was robbed of his wallet. Knowing that it was his duty to give thanks in everything, he meditated on this incident and recorded the following in his diary:
“Let me be thankful, first, because he never robbed me before; second, because although he took my purse, he did not take my life; third, because although he took all I possessed, it was not much; and fourth, because it was I who was robbed, not I who robbed.”
I guess all those years writing commentaries transformed him to be more like Jesus.
What do you take for granted that you would complain about losing if it was gone tomorrow?
Get in the habit of thinking of three things that you are grateful for each night when your head hits the pillow. It will help your mind focus and not run to the frustrating things that happened that day.

Thank you Jackie for this wonderful book. I read it almost without stopping, weeping for my lack of praying with my spirit language. I loaned the book to a friend who also had the same response. I have just completed reading the book the second time and am so thankful that you have put this book onto the market. I imported it from the US as it was not available in Australia. The result is that it has already impacted my life and the life of my family – down to great-grandchildren. I have read and re-read Rick Joyner’s book “The Final Quest” for over 10 years and still read it. Once again – thank you for waking me up to a closer walk with our God. With hugs and blessings, Dianne
